Multi-Media Internship

During the spring of 2017, I spent the semester in New York City working for TheChisel as an Multi-Media Journalist Intern where my main focus was to help promote and launch their 'What's Your American Dream?' Survey. For the short video below I pitched, scripted, filmed and produced the content that went out in 30M+ emails and dozens of social media posts promoting the survey. Along with writing the script, I was tasked on finding actors and costuming for all the characters on an extremely limited budget. The video was shot on my Canon 70D and edited in Adobe Premiere.

Make your voice heard in Washington D.C. through's bipartisan 'What's Your American Dream?' survey!

I also strategized, wrote and managed all social media content and platforms, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I built the back end infrastructure for the company's social platforms and wrote the social media guideline handbook for the next social media manager.

The following are a few posts from six different silos of content I produced and managed:

Visual Storytelling & Marketing Internship

During the summer of 2015, I interned at SoldierUP in Kansas City, Missouri.  As the Visual Storytelling & Marketing Intern, I worked to effectively communicate the crux of SoldierUp through visual storytelling mediums.  Through continuous communication with the CEO of SoldierUp, I maintained and sharpened the brand of the company by creating content for their website, blog and social media outlets.  I met with veterans who have joined the SoldierUp community to understand their story as well as how SoldierUp has helped project their growing businesses.  While building relationships with the veterans, I interviewed, filmed and photographed them in order to communicate the benefits and opportunities present within the SoldierUp community to the general public.
